ORGANISATION BACKGROUND:
The Palriwala Educational Research and Training Society (PERTS) is providing vocational and technical skills training to youth from Lakshmangarh and surrounding areas since 2007. Our vision is of socio-economic development and betterment of poor and deprived sections of society through skill training and personality development. We hope this will enhance their self-esteem and confidence and enable them to earn their livelihood with dignity and values that are oriented to the environment, local development and social harmony.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This is a senior position with co-responsibilities along with the Principal and independent charge in specified areas. The two senior functionaries will be reporting to each other, the local management committee and to the Delhi office. The responsibilities primarily include managing the two institutions – the ITI (technical training) and PVTRI (vocational training). Specific work areas are outlined below
- Implementing key initiatives/projects of the organisation
- Community outreach activities to communicate the value of skill training especially during the admissions periods with the aim to fill all seats.
- Mobilising women, young and older, to join the vocational training courses.
- Monitor daily attendance of trainees and initiate steps to ensure course completion by all trainees and full retention.
- Welfare of trainees, trainers and staff, in terms of facilities and through counselling and interaction if needed, ensuring a congenial, inviting and supportive atmosphere for all, including marginalised groups and women. Ensure the trainers and trainers are attuned to meeting the vision of the organisation.
- Monitor day-to-day functioning including hygiene and cleanliness, maintenance of the physical infrastructure of the grounds and buildings, and institutional decorum/discipline.
- Review the programme continuously to identify and take corrective measures in consultation with the local and Delhi management.
- Any other work that may be required to meet the vision and mission of PERTS.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Qualification: Postgraduate degree in any relevant subject or a B.Tech degree
Experience: Ten years of relevant teaching and administrative experience
Proficiency in Hindi; working knowledge of English and Marwari
Age:Maximum 50 years
Desirable:
(1) Teacher training certificate/degree
(2) Experience of programmes in vocational training/education
(3) Experience in Community outreach and administrative experience in NGOs
(4) Communication, analysis and presentation skills.
(5) Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Power Point is an advantage

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Rs. 40, 000/- Negotiable. Gross compensation shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience and salary history.
